Who is Jonathan Kilday?

Jonathan didn't land in Hamden by accident. He first came here eleven years ago, visiting friends who call this area home, and knew early on that this was where he wanted to put down roots. He and his partner found their home in Delancey. He's not passing through; this is where he intends to spend the rest of his life.

He's spent his career as a small-business owner, and anyone who's run a small business knows what that really means: you're a jack of all trades. Budgets, payroll, scheduling, problem-solving, managing people, getting things done with what you have. It's the same range a town supervisor needs every day.

He's also managed large-scale projects. At a 200,000-square-foot, seven-story mixed-use development with nearly 200 homes, he led interior architecture and space planning for the entire building, coordinating contractors, vendors, renderings, and timelines from concept through completion. Across his career, he's negotiated with developers, contractors, and vendors in six states, on residential and commercial projects alike. It's complex, deadline-driven work, and keeping that many moving parts on schedule and on budget is exactly what running a town's operations demands.

When Wayne Marshfield announced his retirement after decades of service, Jonathan stepped up to continue that work and build on it, for the whole town, from Hamden to DeLancey to Mundale. He's not a career politician. He's a neighbor with the experience to do the job well.
